So I fired up Final Cut Pro today (10.6.5) and no matter what I play, the viewer only shows black. Audio plays normally in both the timeline and project panels. I'm using Original Media, not proxies.

So far I've tried:
- Restarting Final Cut
- Restarting my MBP
- Resetting FCP settings with Opt + Cmd
- Deleting FCP entirely (with AppCleaner) and reinstalling

Nothing has helped so far. I've tried both libraries from my internal SSD and from external drives. Changing between Best Quality/Performance doesn't help either.

I've read that others have had this happen before, but there is no clear way to fix it.

Any suggestions?

I'm running a 2015 15" MBP running 13.3 with OCLP 0.6.2.

EDIT: It also does this when hovering over clips in the project panel. When not hovering over, the small previews load fine, but go black when hovered over (shown in the main viewer)

Maybe this time, but running some hack is going to cause you in trouble over and over again. So don't be surprised the next time around.
