FCP question - Colour Overlay?

Simple question, really. I would like to know how to (or the equivalent) add a colour overlay over my FCP project - how?

Thanks in advance.
 
Simple way is to grab a color generator from the video generators folder, choose the color, layer it over the edit in a new video track, and optimize opacity for your choice.
