In FCPX any titles or lower thirds I add to my timeline, as soon as I select them /try to edit them FCPX crashes instantly every time. Is this a common issue? Does anyone know a good work around or fix?

Hope you can help as this is driving me crazy! (Im on Lion for reference sake.)

    Thanks.

Something to do with the Inspector panel. If I close that I can select and edit title and other text related things.

I'm getting the same problem, it's happened 5 times in a row. Does anyone have a solution?

Lower thirds are my daily bread. It hasn't happened to me so far. The editing feature (in the viewer) goes to the beach ball for a couple of seconds, but won't crash.

    Snow Leopard still.

This could have to do with unsupported fonts. Did you ever install fonts? Try moving the installed fonts folder outside of its place (instead of uninstalling them) and relaunch FCP.
