I'm new to FCPX so please bear with me. I shot three videos yesterday of my bands rehearsal. Three takes of the same song. 4 camera shots, one camera for each musician. I started a new event and dragged all the clips in there. I multiclipped the first take. No problem. Suspiciously fast. Worked.
The second take took longer to multiclip. Oh, one of the clips from a specific camera took a lot of time verifying the clip. But eventually it worked. Opened it into a new project, trimmed the beginning, started editing the views. About 3 minutes in many of the views are blank. There IS video there. I figured it needed to wait for transcoding. I opened the background task box. After 29 hours it still hasn't rendered or finished. I decided to walk away from it. I just now opened. I get a warning when I go to quit - background tasks haven't finished. Are you SURE you want to quit. So now I'll quit. I figured something got hung up. Perhaps quitting will fix it.
Now for my question - Is there anything I have to do to hurry this along? New 2019 7,1 Mac Pro 16 core 160 GB ram.

Oh yeah. I'll try rebooting MP because quitting FCPX and restarting didn't fix it.
Also I hit play and I get a spinning beachball for 10 seconds, I hear a click and it doesn't play.
