FCPX - Zoom without pan

How do I zoom without panning? I want the ken burns effect without panning.

Simply use scale?

You also don't have to pan when using Ken Burns. Just choose the same starting and ending position?

When both the Ken Burns start and end frame have the same center, there will not be panning, just a zoom in or out.
