[Feature Request] S symbol added to smilies!

Since we added the Apple logo for the TV, why not the S⃣ symbol for the new iPhone 3G S⃣?

Maybe remove the 🙄 smilie to keep the symmetry? Since that stupid smilie always causes trouble...

The is applicable to the entire apple product range and is the logo of the company which produces the products this entire website is based upon.

The iPhone 3G S is only one product and in a years time the iPhone 4G will be released.

Yeah, alright. I do remember the being added right after the TV and the (at the time so-branded) iPhone was announced. That was in 2007, many years after this website and message board was established, which, I think, diminishes your point somewhat.

The point is still valid, those things were/are backup for the decision that was taken at the time and stand as reasons for its continued use.

The only reason for the ⃣ is that the latest iPhone uses it. Perhaps if it became standard across the entire range of apple computers there would be a reason for adding it. Right now, not so much.

It only works in Safari on OS X. Nowhere else, as far as I know.

Just checked my Windows laptop and it does not display properly on any browser there, even Safari. Just shows some weird 'obj' symbol or has the box appear after the S depending on the browser. Unless Apple uses it more widely amongst their products, which I hope they don't, I don't see any point in adding it to the Smilies.
