Feature request:
I rarely browse the forums directly, I mostly hit New Posts to see what all y'all are up to today. But New Posts indiscriminantly shows Wastelanded posts in reverse-calendar order along with the next.

As a feature request, I would like to NOT see Wasteland in the New Posts.

Even better, I would like my profile to be configurable so that I can see (or not see) my choice of Fora there; so if I want to turn off Politics or Marketplace or whatever for a while, I can flag them as Off.

As long as I am wishing, I'd also like the option to not display threads initiated by those on my Ignore list; not just blanking the post contents when I open the thread.

And I would like Santa to bring me a quad G5.... ;)

That would need to be a custom modification i believe. The only site that i know of that has this sort of hack is vbulletin.org where you can choose which forums you want general searches to be from. Since new posts is a general search you would need that modification.

I do not believe they have released it to the public.

Bookmark and use this link, which excludes the Wasteland, Politics, and Marketplace forums.

We only actually found out about this feature today while looking in to another request ;) A sticky has been made of this as it will probably be something a lot of people like :)

Wasteland has been excluded by default now. If you want to exclude others, you'll have to do it yourself as described above.

awesome arn! thanks a lot!

all the more reasons why i love this site.

You know... I just view the forum sections I'm interested in, read some threads... even reply to some of 'em.

The rest of it's just... just gravy.

Yeah....I tried the new posts thing for a while, but I just stick to stuff I want to read now. Much more controlled environment. ;)
