I’m not sure if it has already been discussed but I’m wondering why Apple is not using the NFC chip inside the MagSafe wallet to help locate it when it’s lost.
The iPhone could remember when and where the wallet has been detached the last time so we can know if we saw it for the last time in the car/house/office/somewhere elaw, etc.
It would not be as good as an AirTag but the wallet doesn’t fit one anyway and the hardware + half the software is already here so why not. It would be a real added value to the wallet.
Ps: Yes I just lost mine for a couple days and this is how this idea came to be
