Just got my email and my iPads in Nashville! Could FedEx be lying?

FedEx's new time-travel delivery service is rather pricey, I doubt Apple would have forked over that much for free delivery...

You failed to say who the email is from.

Unless it's from the carrier, contains a tracking number you can check on the carriers site, what you received means nothing.

I've heard FedEx is learning from UPS, and that's not a good sign.

No. Nashville is a major FedEx hub. The iPads are coming in large batches and that's likely just an initial message letting you know the shipment headed to Nashville is en route.

Once the shipment gets there, there may be arrival and departure scans, then it'll arrive at your nearest FedEx sorting facility before it's loaded onto the local delivery truck.

From your computer or phone? Because the method would differ accordingly.

I got the same info. I just checked my tracking. Before it wasn't giving any info. Now it is saying:

    Shipment Dates
    Ship date Mar 9, 2012
Estimated delivery Mar 12, 2012 by 3:00 PM

All shipment travel activity is displayed in local time for the location

Strange. And Nashville is not a major Fed-ex hub. Memphis is. BTW...the delivery address is in Nashville (my work)

Those are automated messages. I would bet that there's a hold on them once they're at the depot.

Mine is also in Nashville - along with thousands of other iPad's.
You'll get it by March 16th, don't worry too much about it.

I'm not saying this will happen this time around, but I remember with the iPhone4, a lot of people got them up to a few days early. I remember being SO jealous.

I know I'll get it by the 16th I was only surprised that they quoted a march 12th delivery date. Ive only used ups and I know they're very accurate with their dates
