Been having this problem with the 12 mini which i was hoping it was fixed in iOS 14.7 but hasn't it hard to explain what happening, when i got it in April it didn't have this problem it only seemed to arisen since iOS 14.6 for me at least.

Basically at random times can be a few days or week's the screen will suddenly get this grey wash out tint look then randomly flick back to normal, it will do this constantly until i restart the phone then it be fine again for a few day or week but then return was hoping 14.7 would fix it which it hasn’t , now i'm not sure it's a bug or a actually hardware problem.

I found a post couple of months ago on reddit I think with somebody else with a 12 Pro Max also having the same exact problem as me with a video showing what's happening which i now can't find.

Also the low volume on text tones and gradually rising of sound on keyboard clicks is also annoying which hasn't been fixed since the iPhone 12 launched.

I'm honestly fed up with this phone not sure if it's iOS 14 or the phone itself that has these problems.

I'm getting to the point now where i might actually ditch the iPhone and move back to Android, which will be a shame as i do like the iPhone 12 Mini, but these problems are really annoying me now.

Anybody else have this problem i've described?

Sorry to hear about your issues with the Mini. Personally, I don’t have any of them, and I have the keyboard sounds turned OFF, so I can’t really reply about that…

Also, no disrespect, but these so called ‘problems’ of yours don’t really sound like any major problems… If the screen is faulty, contact Apple.

After doing some digging into this it could likely be a bug with the lift to wake, so i've had it turned off for a few days now to see if it happens again if it does then i do a DFU restore, and if it still does it after this then I'll get the phone exchanged.

You have a hardware problem. I’d get it exchanged. Mine has no issues whatsoever

This is the problem I've been having.

Aye well that failed Mini as you put it being traded in today towards a Samsung S21 Ultra, also going is my Apple Watch SE unfortunately replaced with Samsung's equivalent in a month or so when the new Smartwatches appear, only thing's i'll be keeping Apple is my M1 Macbook Pro & my Airpods Pro's as i can still use these on the S21 Ultra.

So yeah your right the Mini has failed... me & the 12 series in general has it's problems be it the Mini or Pro Max, this being the reason to switch back to Android for the foreseeable future.

Also the reason i went with the Mini in the first place was to have something small & easy in the pocket at work, but with my ageing tired eye's, I found it hard to focus on the small screen sometimes, hence the reason to go back to a large screen phone.

If i decided to stick with the iPhone i was originally going to trade the Mini in for a iPhone 13 Pro Max, but going off the problems the iPhone 12 series have been having, I'm not going to risk it & wait months for Apple to fix the small annoying bugs if they fix them at all.
