Like it says, I am fed up looking at the same watch faces. There hasn't been a signigicant change other than the "Pride". I can't remember when they gave us more Apple Watch faces, but I do know it has been years.s but years. This is getting boring. I do now that there are apps that can change your watch face but not all the icons on the watch face are functional, it's all about show and tell. I might dump this watch and get one with better choices in customization and functionality.

From a quick search, there were new watch faces on WatchOS 26. For functionality, sure they're all about the same. I've been using the pride radiance for months from lunar previously, just telling the time.

I like my customized "Modular Compact." It's grayish-blue like my Midnight BSL band. To each their own, though.

Looking at the face gallery for my U2, there are 60+ different faces, a lot are highly customizable... I dunno...

Wish there were more subdued stylish (conservative stylish?) faces. Something more like "real" watches and or how the Hermes faces are, when the need arises, but have made due with what there is. I don't use always on and do not look at the Watch often so not a big deal what face I'm using.

What would help would be better color customization of faces. Able to set background and ticks to get a more pleasant, for me, color combination. And maybe second hand as well.

I find the existing watch faces quite good and classy. The one I like very much lately is this one, with the Cantaloupe dial colour - it’s ‘70s retro and so tasteful.

Looked at Solar Analog but not a fan of the "sweep" feature. I find it annoying. If I could completely disable the sweep, would become a more used face for me.

California with just ticks is ok. Will use Reflection at times as its movements are a bit more subdued.

The faces that are available are pretty good. On the whole, it's better than having 10,000 mostly crappy faces, a la a "desktop wallpaper" website.

That said, What I miss are more "complication heavy" faces - Modular and Modular Compact are good if you want a lot of information available directly on the watch face, but I'd like to have a few more options with complications and a digital time readout.

It seems all new faces realized by Apple are not geared towards being able to have a lot of visible complications.

EDIT: What I really want is the Modular Ultra face on my "not an Ultra" Apple Watch.

Agreed, and I think it's an intentional move to get people accustomed to using the smart stack feature instead.
Now there's an eye sore for me, I'm fine with the faces but I really really want an option to turn smart stacks OFF, they provide no use for me.

exquisite, but other than tell time you can take picture.

He he… this is my weekend watch face, when I don’t need complications. Just the time, date and activity rings.
I do switch between different faces throughout the day and week, based on the need.

I do this too. An automation switches between a workday watch face (Modular Ultra) and an evening/weekend watch face (Solar Analog).

So, will you all agree with me that the Apple watch serves as both functional as well as fashionable. Let's ask why people like their Apple Watch. I will tell you that for me it's not because it's stylish, I have a number of medical conditions that this watch benefits me to monitor. As a Medical Professional I can't tell how important it is to keep track of my heart rate both resting and exercising because I am in a sustained A-Fib. In addition to that I monitor my EKG and SPO2.

Let's look at my functionality watch face. Top left we have my battery, middle is the day and date, to the right we have the EKG, in the middle I have an app that is the best ever, and it's called Timepage, it give me my upcoming events and weather alerts, bottom left is the weather, the bottom middle is my steps by Duffy, and finally an app called heart analyzer which gives me constant readings of my heart rate rather than pushing buttons to get it.

Now, I also had a brain fart. When I do an EKG on a person that is a grizzly bear he or she has to be saved for proper tracing. One day while shaving I look down at my arm which is not hairy, but had a few hairs and I shaved it, My watch sensor and bare skin under neath gives me a perfect reading.

It is obvious that there is an aesthetic aspect to consider. That is true with everything we wear on our bodies.

I personally find the design of the AW quite appealing and smart, as it is genderless, modern and minimalistic. Together with the multitude of watch faces and straps, one can find a way to express his personality.

I do have traditional watches as well, and wear them in rotation with the AW. No matter how beautiful a watch may be, eventually I would get bored and want something else. Rotating watches allows me to enjoy different aesthetics.

Fully immersed in the Apple ecosystem, living and working in a fully automated digital life, what I love best about the Apple Watch is that I don't wear one 😂.
