Your ORIGINAL thread title and post implicated the Apple Online Store.

I didn't edit the thread title. The only edit I made was adding that saying I'd never order from Apple online store again was a bit harsh and said in the heat of the moment.

anyways I again apologize for upsetting anyone by venting my frustration. FedEx solved the problem (was lost in with a bulk order for a local store) and I received it today.

You made such a big stink about it and you received it today? Talk about egg on your face.

Not egg on his face, an apple tv in his home, and I think it's great. Glad everything worked out for him. Mine's on its way now and I hope fedex doesn't have any probs getting to me.

did you read the post? I didn't even create it until it was 5 days past due and the FedEx tracking showed it as not moving from Memphis for 4 of those days. I was frustrated and didn't know whether to cancel, resend, or keep waiting. I admit my initial post was made from a place of frustration, mostly related to making arrangements to be around when FedEx was estimating it would be delivered.

I don't really think having the estimated delivery date being the 7th and not actually getting it until the 13th is egg on my face but to each their own. I'm glad it worked out. I wish FedEx would have had some idea as to where it was but they were really apologetic once they managed to find it.

Glad to see things got resolved, and you got your ATV2. Enjoy!!

The Apple TV has just become my worst online shopping experience ever.

I ordered mine on the 21st of September with an original ship date of Oct. 13 so I was very impressed when mine shipped on the 4th. However that is the last time during this process I have been impressed. I paid for the "expedited" shipping option and my package made it to Memphis on the 5th of October.

IT IS STILL THERE. Today is the 12th of October. Apple has already agreed to refund the shipping (obviously), FedEx keeps telling me they will look into it and call me back (3 days and no call). Apple says I can request a refund or ship a replacement...both of which result in me not getting the product I paid for anytime soon as I live 6 hours away from the nearest apple store and none of the big box or the apple resellers have any in stock.

So frustrated.

Does anybody have any experience with this situation? All I want is the product I have already paid for? Should I request a replacement and go through this waiting ******** again or just forget it, get a refund and pray that a local shop gets stock?

Never buying from the Apple site again (edit: ok maybe a bit harsh out of my frustration). They even sent me the survey asking how my recent experience with purchasing from them was....great

Thats why I walked into an apple store and bought one, 2nd day. I Hate Fedex.

I think fedex is great. To date I've never had a problem with them. Things happen though. USPS is who I never give business unless no other option.

OP, that sucks what happened. When I ordered my MBP in 2 years ago (almost to the day), FedEx was supposed to delivery my computer on a Saturday. I even left work early to be home for it.

Usually FedEx is here by a certain time (I always get things by 10am via FedEX, about 4pm UPS), but it was like 3pm and no FedEx. I checked their online tracking, and it said "unable to deliver, no answer at door"", or some such thing. I WAS home. I called the FedEx 1-800 number and talked to a lady, and said the driver actually wasn't able to make it, so he just marked it as an unable to deliver. I got it delivered a few hours later. They made a special trip (a driver on his way home) to deliver it to me. Shady!

And to think that i was going to complain about FedEx delivering mine a day early. lol. The only reason it was bad is because i didn't have the pre-signed letter hanging on the door yet because i didn't expect it until tomorrow. Luckily they were still opened, so i just went and picked it up. Overall, i love it. Few problems though.

1) Pairing the remote app on my iPhone app to the AppleTV
2) Typing out stuff is a pain. I wish they'd add a ".com" button so you have four less characters to type when adding accounts, etc.
