FYI this isn't a FedEx thing this is requested by the sender and something Verizon does as well. I believe it is because they have had enough phone theft that they don't want to risk it anymore.

You can TRY using this: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AptnvuD7_G6Dt6tgCu6YeOs4JblBKQ which is a official looking release form that you can print out and sign. It depends on the driver at that point, some will accept that and some won't.

I signed up with FedEx and ordered through Verizon. I can request a vacation hold or customize delivery. Basically tell them where to leave it. Also mine says indirect signature required so someone has to sign for it.

Edited to add I had ordered with Verizon iphones before and did one of those printouts someone another user posted on this forum and it worked, they left it, but I'm not doing that anymore too much of a risk.

Interesting. I've had no issues with the sim-free models and being able to request for pick up for Fedex at all. Maybe it's the carrier model one??

Also has the package been picked up? Usually it's grayed out when it's at the shipment label created stage. Once it's picked up you should be able to.

So FedEx is delivering my phone from AT&T. Cannot have it held or changed. FedEx says no signature required according the the tracking number. Cannot be home to "sign" for it if need be. Sigh, FWP.

Always ordered from Apple and had UPS hold it at the CC. This year, ordered from Apple at 3:10 AM EST and got a delivery of 17-24. Ordered at AT&T at 5:30 AM EST and got a Nov. 3 delivery day. Go figure.

Any experience with FedEx? Really don't have any options honestly. Just going to hope for the best.

UPS told me this a few years ago. Prior, I always had my iPhone held at the HUB because I lived two miles away. Then (forgot which model) they told me Apple told them they were not permitted to hold the iPhones anymore. They were required to deliver them (at least one try).

Some here have said they still pick up their iPhones at the HUB, so who knows. But, I was told years ago Apple forces the delivery now.

Now, I just have the iPhone sent to my office. They always deliver to commercial businesses first so I always get my packages there around 10-11am.

Weird thing is I was able to do a hold for pickup last year for my 7 Plus. That was with UPS. Not sure what the issue is this time around
