Looking for some feedback on how HomePod 2s sound in a stereo pair for Home Theater content? Has anyone compared them to something like a Sonos Arc (or Sonos Arc & Sub)? How do the HomePod sound for dialogue given no discreet center channel. I would be using it with the latest AppleTV for reference. Thanks.

I have a TV with a stereo pair of HomePods and I have a TV with a Sonos Arc, two Era 300 rears and two subs, both used with the newest gen AppleTV.

The HomePods don’t hold a candle to the Sonos system but I still think it’s really good for what it is. TBH, I hear dialogue much better on the HomePods at lower volumes. There are also settings for this (“Enhance Dialogue”, “Reduce Loud Sounds”) and Sonos has a “Night Mode” for enhancing dialogue while reducing loud sounds. .

A $100 sound bar will sound way better. I got rid of my pair for a $100 one and it blows the HP pair out of the water.
