There is an update on the below blog from the Feeddler developer. Doesn't sound great though.

I like and use Feeddler but looks like it's going to be the Feedly app for me. Will keep an eye on what happens with Feeddler and hopefully go back to it one day if they get it working with the Feedly cloud.

Yep. It looks like it's going to be a subscription service.

Feedly and Digg are also supposed to be launching paid for premium services. Can't think of features that they would offer in a paid version though.

I am assuming that some combination of # of feeds, refresh rate, articles per day, or something else like that would be limited. Or ads. Or no mobile.

RSS feeds are a large part of my daily internet use so I would have no problem paying to use a premium Feedly service. They have to fund their service some how and you would think that the more paying customers they have the less chance it goes the way of Google Reader.

Absolutely - if nothing else this GReader scare should have taught all of us the value (or not) of our RSS feeds. I would definitely pay.

I have been impressed with how fast Feedly have worked to provide an excellent Google Reader replacement.

I wasn't convinced when I first tried Feedly (just after Google's announcement) but they have listened to feedback from users and worked hard to create a great replacement on the desktop and mobile platforms.

I haven't read through all the posts but have you seen any sync issues?

I'll read a few articles on my phone and they will still be marked as unread on my computer later.

Feedly said to quit and relaunch your iOS apps. That wasn't enough: try logging out (within Feedly app) and logging back in. That helped me a lot! Still not perfect: many items I read never get marked as read on my other devices. But after a log out/in, there was major improvement.

Feedly is actively developed and I'm sure more improvement is coming.

EDIT: Also--today I find that reading an article (at least in the Safari web version) no longer transmits the "read' state. I now have to Mark as Read manually--but when I do, all my iOS devices do receive the "read" updates. So, Mark as Read may be a useful workaround for now.

EDIT 2: Could be just luck, but it seems that if I leave the browser window open for 60 seconds or so after clicking Mark as Read, it's more likely to synch.
