Feel of the Digital Crown

I really like the digital crown feature. One thing I noticed though is that clicking it feels "squishy" rather than a crisp click you get from the other "contacts" button. Is this by design or do I just have a slightly squidgy button?

Mine clicks, but its less clicky I suppose. I fully expect the digital crown to be a problem in the long run. Seems awesome, but being a mechanical thing, its just going to get gunked up and have issues. Like the old trackball on the blackberries. Super awesome idea and was great in the beginning, but then the balls got junky over time and you had to clean them and it was a whole thing.
