Just wanted to quickly say that today I fell down the stairs pretty hard. I was wearing socks and some how just slipped and ended up falling down a few steps to the tile floor at the bottom. It was a pretty rough drop and was terrified that my Late 2011 15" MacBook Pro was going to be dented, or even dead, from the impact. One I got into the light to inspect it, I took off the un-cracked Speck case only to discover.... There were no dents or scratches whatsoever. And these were hard wood stairs!! I immediately put the Speck case back on and came to tell you the story. Moral of the story is, you can take amazing care of your electronics, even baby them, but accidents can and will happen, and luckily I was covered. For a 35 USD case, I'd say it did a damn good job and already earned it's cost back (saving me from repair damage, or a very ugly computer). Ok well that's about it, thanks everyone! Cheers!

You're lucky, I fell down the stairs with my 4 yr old daughter, split her chin. Mom will definitely NEVER let me forget that one.

Do you also wear a helmet? I would think it's more important to protect your head, if you plan to fall down the stairs more often. Also available for $ 35.

I have a spec case on my 13 inch macbook pro. its good to know. I fell down the stairs at my mothers house from the very top step. tumbled down the entire flight feet over my head. landed upside down on the bottom steps where they curved around a corner. my mother walks over and goes, "what are you doing?" pfft. what am i doing. dumbass.

the only reason i didnt get hurt was because the stairs were carpeted. which incidentally is also why i fell.

Thanks for those who replied nicely. But for the rest, I was just letting you know how happy I was with the case. If you didn't want to hear my story, you didn't have to click the topic. And thanks everyone, I'm fine. Just very happy my MBP is ok.

Glad you are unhurt and sounds like a good case. Take care!

I win. I dropped mine from the catwalks of a theater. Boom. Ace.
