I'm seeing a comically wide range of prices quoted on sundry online stores for the Nikon D40x (plus various kits). The best I've seen so far are a few offers from the Dutch store www.kamera-express.nl, but :)o) I can't understand a damn word it's saying to me about the ordering process because my Dutch is, eh, a bit rusty.

I also saw a great deal on a U.S. site....but: delivery charge to Ireland? $275!!!!!!! I thought they were being amusing, but apparently not.

Has anyone out there got a good deal recently on a UK/European site? Would really appreciate the help. Thanks.

See if you can find a US seller who will ship to you at a reasonable price. For whatever reason, the prices across the pond are MUCH lower.

eBay, perhaps? Just stick to reputable sellers.

Otherwise, I'm afraid I can't help you as I have no experience shopping for cameras in Europe.

Thanks so much for the kind offer, really appreciate it, but I've just found the D40x for cheaper on Pixmania (e538) so I'll go with them (unless I find it cheaper somewhere else!). Thanks again.
