Hey guys i've already checked ifixit and a few youtube videos but i wanna make sure of a couple things before i get started. I've got a server model that i'm swapping out 1 hard drive for an SSD.

    1) Does it matter which drive i replace? Which one is primary which one is secondary? (If you say top/bottom please reference which way you're looking at the mac mini)

    2) Wether i put a drive on Sata slot 0 or 1 it shouldn't affect speed, so long as i format properly i would still have the SSD as primary and HDD as secondary?

    3) Do you have to pull out the mobo to access the HDD? I've seen in a few videos that you only remove fan, fan try, ram and wifi; albeit these weren't server models i'm not sure if its different.

    4) Screwdrivers needed = Torx 6 + 8 correct?

    No, both are Sata 600.
Take the upper (which is called lower as you open the Mini upside down), it is easiest to access.
You can choose which one to boot from. No difference.
Guess if you have a model with 2 drives pre-mounted, you have to as there will be screws in the frame holding the drive. It will suck to do so and be very careful not to damage wires to the IR sensor and power light.
Not correct, you also need 2mm hex for the Wifi Grill. Torx 8 will fit but it will damage your screws more than needed.
