How will non retina optmized pics, videos, webpages look on a Retina MBP?

What percentage of content and apps is out there right now that is Retina optimized?

And how long do you predict before everything will be Retina optimized, is it catching up fast so far?

it's waaay to early to tell how fast developers will be able to release updates.. the fact Apple was able to keep this notebook so secret, must mean a lot of companies heard about it the same time we did..

I think it will be a good test to see how fast Google update Chrome.

Right now though, you can tell the difference between an optimized app and a non-optimised.. but for the most part it's not awful at all.. and no way unusable. It's a brand new consumer technology, there will be a few months for everyone to catch up.. but truth is, consider the percentage of users who will have the screen? it can't be a massive priority for applications that aren't aimed at the professional market etc.. though any developer that has any notion of future proofing will know to get things ready, it's not going to be that long before other notebooks and desktop options arrive.

but don't put yourself off from getting one, for fear the screen is too sharp.. it's only going to be a 2-3 months before the majority of apps and websites are optimized. While it is a small percentage that will have access or own these machines, it is going to be the most vocal and influential percentage.
