I think I read somewhere that the problem with using ffmpegX to rip DVDs is that it rips one VOB file at a time... in other words, you end up with a bunch of smaller files, rather than one big one. You'd then need some method to concatenate the files together.

Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct. Then there is the "mux" option so you can merge the files into a larger file. Keep on merging... and magic!

Yea, it is a pain, I know... but the chance to play a DVD on your iPod!! :D:D:D
