Field Test Mode hack

Start up you phone dialer, type *3001#12345#*, send, it will take you to field test mode with the numeric signal number.

With the field test mode still on, reboot the phone by holding the power and home button together until you see the apple logo, release both the button, let it boot to home screen, and now you can toggle the signal between bar and numeric by tapping it.

To reverse the effect, start up you phone dialer, type *3001#12345#*, send, when you in field test mode, just hit the home button to exit and you phone will be back to normal.

This trick has been known for a while, but the method to reverse doesnt always work and the only way to fix this is to Reset your Network Settings.

Just a heads up.
