Actually I don't think that Brazil will win the World Cup this year. When was the last time Brazil won a World Cup on European soil? I don't wanna dig in to fact book but I know they haven't won it in over 20 years (thats as far as I can remember).

Brazil does have the most talent but if I would bet I would bet on a team such as Italy (who have a long overdue World Cup championship) or maybe even Netherlands or Sweden. I think it will be someone from Europe (yeah I know it's a broad word lol)

1958 in Sweden. The first and only time an American team has won in Europe. (And note that no European team has ever won the cup outside Europe.)

But Brazil also won in 2002, the first time the world cup wasn't held in either Europe or America. (And in 1994, first time not held in Europe or South America.) :)

So statistically a European team should win this year, then Brazil should win again next time around, when the host is South Africa (a first for the African continent). ;)

But think about who they are going to play in the first round! I think they are playing teams like Italy and the Czech republic. they are going to get destroyed!

I'm going to Switzerland/South Korea, I'm really excited.

They play both those teams, as well as Ghana. I don't think the US side will be 'destroyed' by their opposition, but I think it'll be the Italians and Czechs who make it into the second round.
