File Recovery - Need Immediate Help Please!!!

Just finished a final essay for one of my courses, due early in the morning. Long story short: Accidentally deleted it and emptied the recycle bin. IS THERE ANY WAY TO RECOVER THIS FILE?

Sorry, that should have been "trash" and not "recycle bin." I am running Tiger. Please?

Stop using the computer.
Try to find a bootable file recovery CD (I think Data rescue has one)
Let the CD try to find it

By using the computer you enlarge the chance the sectors on your drive where the file resided will be overwritten by new data, making the chances of recovery smaller with every bit written.
