File Recovery Software ?

I accidently deleted and trashed a file foilder on a storage drive I use, so no backup.

Is there any file recovery software out there that does the job but not for the cash that Disk Drill or EaseUS or Stellar Phoenix to name three want ?

Simply stated, there is no "free" data recovery software for the Mac that is "easy to use".

There -is- something out there called (I think) "TestDisk".
It's free, but it's NOT "easy to use"...
