File renaming software

There are a handful of these for PC. Any for Mac?

Looking for something that can remove the first 4 characters from a file for exmaple. Or add characters in certain positions, rename instances of a word with another. Batching across multiple files of course. Something that can rename folders would be a nice plus too.

Go to Macupdate.com or Versiontracker.com (at versiontracker you might need to select osx)

search for "rename file"
