Hi guys, I have no idea which steps I did it wrong and I can't get connect to my PC with password. It says the password is wrong which is correct.
I used to be able to access shared folders on both my PC and mac with no problem but I just format my PC drive so I have to redo everything.

Here's what I did:-
1. Created homegroup and turned on file sharing. I turned on password protection too(I must have a password here). My PC has a password for the account.
2. Changed the homegroup name, lets say MYGROUP.
3. Changed workgroup on my mac in WINS to MYGROUP.
4. Connect on Finder, prompted to enter name and password. I typed my PC username and password and the box shook.

And I can't see my mac on my PC network.

Any idea?

Lost file sharing with PC recently

I have shared files between my iMac and PC (Windows 7) for past year or more but recently lost ability to read files on the PC from my iMac (still works the other way). Mp IP address is 192.168.1.64. when viewed in System Preferences, Network but displayed as afp://unknown-e4-ce-8f-57-a3-29.home/ when viewed in System Preferences, Sharing. I have Parallels 8 installed. Any ideas?
