I'm looking for file Synchronization software.

I have 2 external harddisk and only some folder has to be synched, so i can't use raid.

I did search google but didn't find some good software, most of them where looking crappy so...
Ar there any recommendations?

Thx

Look at rsync. Built in Mac OS X, solid as a rock because it's a unix program. Simple because just one single line command on the terminal.

Hopefully I am not hijacking.... I think the question was answered, so this is a related issue.

I have a PC and a MBP. I use my PC for most of the work during the day, and have a single directory tree (with about 40 folders beneath it).

The functionality that I want is the following:
  1. If new files are either created or updated on EITHER the PC or the MBP, the new files get copied.
  2. If files are deleted from EITHER the PC or the MBP, the files get deleted at sync time.
  3. If a file is MOVED, the files gets deleted from the original location and copied to the new one.

I think #3 is my biggest problem, but I maybe #2 is an issue as well. I don't want either the PC or the Mac to be considered the primary machine because sometimes I will be traveling with the MBP and may manipulate the files that I want the PC to copy or delete later on.

Am I over thinking this problem?

I currently use Syncback on the PC. But I am manually refusing to re-copy files that I intentionally moved or deleted.

Thanks,
R
