File Vault Recovering disk space? Help!

I just got my new MBP a week or so ago... it's been sitting there for about an hour with the bar moving the whole time... Is this normal? is there anything I can do?

FileVault is dodgy. Let it do its thing and then disable it.

It's just freeing up space. Let it do it's thing. It's normal.
