All Devices Files App - Content Unavailable Error

I have a NAS that I use as a PLEX server and with iOS 13 I’m not able to view items in folders that contain a large number of files. There were no issues with iOS 12 but now when I try to view anything in these folders I get a message that the content is not available.
Anyone else with this problem?

The same with an external Samsung SSD T5 1TB, the message being intermitten.

I think the Files app needs some work. I'm having issues with it with mp4 files > 4.5GB or so -

Files can't deal with videos > 4.5GB on external storage
