I posted this in the Lion section as well, but I'm not sure if this is a Lion issue

My files simply aren't showing up in Finder (or on my physical desktop). Here is an example

(click for full size image)

As you can see, there are files in here and they are not showing up in any of the viewing options. I also checked and unchecked every box in the viewing options and none of these worked. I can search for these files in Spotlight, but can't see them in Finder.

This is only happening to select random folders on my computer

Has this happened to anyone else? Or should I just go into Apple

I have that issue sometimes when trying to read data off of my external drive. It is most likely trying to read data from the drive. How long does it take and what type of drive is it (Internal, External)?
