Alright so the easiest way to explain this is with a picture, in the picture the labels are obviously too high, and I would like them to be in the normal place. Can anyone help me?

    Thanks

Change the size of your icons, using the slider bar at the bottom right.

I have already tried that to no avail. All it does is make the icons and labels bigger, but the labels are still in the icon.

Not sure if it's the same in Leopard, but if you right click, is there a "view settings" option? Maybe it's something in there that is set incorrectly.

I really need an updated mac so I don't have to guess so much for leopard problems lol

its there in snow leopard, but there is no option to change, a few of the options look promising, but they don't actually do anything helpful in my case.
