iCloud Files in iCloud not showing in Finder

If I go to icloud.com and go to iCloud drive, it shows my files, but it doesn't seem to sync them on my Mac running the latest version of macOS. I'm not sure what I have done to make them disappear. Does anyone have any tips at all? Thank you.
