FileVault recovery key updated when updating to MacOS 14.4.1?

I have just updated my MacBook Pro 2023 to MacOS 14.4.1 (from 14.3.something) and this caused the FileVault recovery key to be updated for some reason. Does anyone know why? (It seems rather unexpected, but I assume/hope there is a good reason for it?)

Thanks, there is some interesting reading in that thread. It seems that not logging in with iCloud (which is the case for me) seems to have been a factor in triggering this.
