I guess I'm a "welling up" kinda guy... never been a sobber at movies... usually I don't even well up... it's just... something in my eye... yeah...

Pay It Forward - I wasn't sad that the kid died (I mean I was but I got over it) but I was "happily teared" at the candle light vigil.

The Lion King - Of course when Simba's dad died... that's just sad all over the place... :)

Hrm. I can't really think of any more but I'm sure they are there. Soldier deaths might get me close though...

"A.I."- I have some abandonment issues.

Good call. Really didn't care for the movie but, yeah, I cried like a baby. Father issues of mine relate almost entirely to abandonment.

The only one in recent memory is The Dead Poets Society...

damn fine movie.

Oh... father issues and you're quote.

Ever see Mr. Holland's Opus? When the Dreyfus character sings/signs that to his son I LOSE it every time.

I cried at the end of the secret garden. It was not really because of the story, well sorta, but it was mainly the ending song. it was just so damn sad!

I have cried over A.I., Pay It Forward, among many others.

I am not a good gage to use. I am one of the "sensitive males". I joke with friends and my sister about my Sunday night cry fest, in watching Extreme Home Makeover.

I think that is why I have a problem with the "winner take all" attitudes that come in life and on the web (even here on MR). Bullying ways should be left behind in HS IMO. But some don't realize their "my way or the highway" attitudes, and they are able to continue their bullying ways in life.

Crying is considered to weak for the male. I think it shows a compassion that many of us would benefit from. I know that some may want to attack me as one in which in which there are no losers.

No way. There is a time to be competitive, and there is a time to be compassionate. There is a happy balance IMO.

Well, I'll admit the TITANIC. Yes, yes, that wretched chick-flick. But to my defense, it was only one part. Where the parents were putting their children to sleep when the boat was sinking cos they knew they wouldn't get out. I dunno, that just hit deep.

Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop...

Walk the Line made me shed a few because I knew Johnny was gone.

Yeah, I'm a big girl when it comes to movies.

I've never full out bawled over a movie... teary eyed, yes, cry like a little girl, no.

The Empire of the Sun - I don't remember which part though, must've been when the boy with the sword gets shot and the other kid does CPR on him.
And LOTR: Return of the King *cough* geek *cough*, I rather not comment on this one  :D

I've never full out bawled, but I have welled up a few times. The end of The Natural, the end of Dead Poet's Society (O Captain, my Captain) and Black Hawk Down (when the 2 snipers volunteer to protect the pilot).

Lost In Translation. It just reaches out to me, I can relate to it and it seems to reflect how I feel. Or maybe I'm just a girly-girl-man as my best friend would say...

Subliving.

The final scene of Life is Beautiful, where Giosué is reunited with his mother. Proper girly tears.

Lots of movies make me cry - the latest is "The Notebook".

Others that spring to my mind:

The Edge of 17
Angels in America
Alias (not a movie, but it has made me cry :))
Xena: Warrior Princess (Don't Laugh! I'm a fan, and the last episode made me bawl.)
Garden State
Beautiful Thing
Get Real
Trick
Saved

It's 7AM, so my memory is operating at about 10%, so I'll stop listing movies. There's a lot more, I cry in just about every sad movie, partially because I try to cry. It feels so damned good.

I didn't cry a single time during high school. I lived a really pathetic life, I didn't have many friends, I didn't do anything exciting, and I never had a reason to cry. Living that life makes me really appreciate tears, whether they are happy or sad. When you live like that you realize that feeling any emotion is better than feeling none at all.

I hate to admit this, but watching Armageddon the other day, where Bruce Willis' character says goodbye to his daughter, made me shed a few.

Spielburg finished it but it feels very Kubrick.
Except for the ending which looks very Spielburg and feels kinda "Spielbrick".

I also enjoy the flyover of New York City in the future, after the next ice age. Obviously concieved before 9/11.

On The Beach (Aussie mini-series made into a long movie)
This was the first thing that sprang to my mind as well. It had everyone at home bawling at the end (where everyone dies :( ), even my dad!

The other one that I thought of was Dancer in the Dark with Bjork, it was just absolutely tragic and the music just pushed me over the edge.

The Notebook definitely got me, big time.

and call me a sentamentalist, but Casablanca gets me every time. There's just something about that movie...
