A AppleIT macrumors newbie Oct 21, 2015 2 1 this planet Oct 21, 2015 #3 Yes there is. Launch native Mail app on your iOS device, iPhone in this case, tap Edit in top right corner, and select Unread for type of inboxes. As far I recall this has been true since iOS 6 till present - iOS 9.0.2. Reactions: mr.bee

I have another question for this in the apple mail app. It always opens in the first inbox, not in the 'unread' or 'today', which is kinda annoying. is there a setting that can change that too?
