I am using final cut express, and I am trieng to import my video from my camera, a Canon Vixia HF100, and whenever i use attempt to import them via log and transfer, it says that they have no data on any of the videos, and i can play them back through the preview window but i cannot import them, can you tell me the problem please :(

Nevermind, i figured it out. For those of you who didn't or have the same problem, if you update fce and all things that say Apple Professional Applications then it should work.

had the same problem

That happened to me to, at first when i got my FCE4 i had 1 GB of ram and the log and transfer thing didn't even play back my video from my camera and if it did it was realy lagging ..
So, today i got my self more RAM.. now i have 2.5 gb of ram it runs pretty nicely ;D
Now when i try the log and transfer with more ram and it plays back the vids smooth but it didn't transfer it ..

this is what i tried, and it worked.

First bring up the log and transfer window like this:

when it comes up..

pic a video that you want to import, right click on it and a lil box will pop up:

Click on preferences and another box will pop up,
Click on "clear logging autofill cache" and click ok:

then drag the file in to the "Drag media here." space and it will transfer in to your browser ;D

I'd like to add a thank you to Cookiee for this post. Over a year later and it's still helping...not sure I would have figured out how to import without this post.
