Hello,

Need some pointers here. I record TV with Elgato EyeTV which apparently records in MPEG 2. If I export that to idvd and burn it looks great. If I export to DV and burn with toast it looks great. If I export to DV - import to Final Cut Express -edit -mark chapters and export and burn with iDVD it looks terrible. Video is strobby, makes one want to throw up. What settings are the best ?

Thanks

Carmine

Sounds like a field dominance problem. When you convert the MPEG-2 to DV, what field order did you set? Should be Lower Fireld.

Hello,

Actually, I did not set any, did not see any options for it.

I suspect I am making a mistake when exporting OUT of final cut. There is " export quicktime movie " and "export using quicktime conversion". Quick time conversion has a lot of options.

I appreciate your input.
