Hello Everyone,

I have imported a video sample from a dvd. It plays back just fine in the Viewer. When I drop the desired clip down to the Timeline and render it, it sounds like it is possessed when I play it back.

What am I missing??

Thanks!

More specifics. What file format is the clip? How did you rip it (e.g., Handbrake)? Describe your Mac. What version of FCE? Can you be more specific about "possessed"? Does the audio c--u--t o--u--t or does it sound like the bowels of Hell have opened and Satan has taken control of your computer? ;)

Thanks fore the response!

The sample is an .mp4 file.
Ripped it with Xilisoft DVD Ripper.
I'm using a MacBook Pro with a the Intel Core i7, 2.66 processor.
Final Cut Express 4.
And, yes, it sounds like the "bowels of Hell have opened and Satan has taken control of your computer." It's has varying speed audio of the clip with a lot of skipping, snapping, crackling, and, you guessed it, popping!

Like I said, the play back in the Viewer is fine, which leads me to believe the rip was fine. It's just after I render the clip that it gets weird.

Thanks!

BTW, my hard drive spins at 7200rpm.

I'm sure its a setting that I'm overlooking somewhere. I just can't figure out which one.

Any ideas??

Thanks!
