Final cut Help

did not really know where to post this, but i need a script for final cut pro to insert a still photo and then trim it down to a specified time and if possible to insert a transition and do that until all images have been inserted.
I understand it is not your jobs to help a someone every time they ask, and i am currently learning applescript, but i do have a deadline and this script would make life SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier and i do not know enough of it to make anything useful yet.
will welcome any help i can get

Shame on you. You have 'til tomorrow to get your install DVDs in an envelope postmarked to Apple with $99 if you don't have Studio or $49 if you have Studio to go to the 5.1UB Studio Commercial no matter if you have academic or not.

The Postmark Deadline is TOMORROW March 19

Download the FORM NOW and fill it out NOW and go to the PO in the morning and send it Priority Mail with a Delivery Confirmation Receipt. Make copies of your originals just in case they get lost in the mail. And Photo Copy all you send so Apple can still send you what they owe you if it gets lost which it won't with the delivery confirmation receipt because that is like a tracking device.
 
i really dont have the money right now, i'm saving for a MBP but when i buy my MBP next week i'm going to buy final cut express with it
whats the point when i'm gettin FCE

I will give you the money. You are going to miss getting all of Studio 5.1UB Commercial because you don't have $99 or $49 or are you using an illegal copy?

Why aren't you telling me if you have Studio or not?
 
thats really not the issue right now i plan to use the $99 i would have used to buy the upgrade to buy FCE i really dont need the whole studio

So you mean you are not the owner of what you have? You can't get them? Well can you call the owner tomorrow and warn him/her tomorrow is the deadline please?

You understand that FCE 3.5 HD is always a version behind FCP right?

And you also understand that FCE 3.5 HD is at End Of Life and about to be replaced with FCE HD 4 right?
 
fine seince you have been so annoying about it i will sacrifice being able to buy my MBP next week i will do my best to contact my uncle who owns the software legally and upgrade to 5.1, but i still need help with the issue at hand please

If you don't call your Uncle he will be very upset when he finds out he could have had that upgrade for $49 or $99.

You still don't say if he has Studio or only FCP. Does he need me to loan him the money? I will if he does. POSTMARK MUST BE TOMORROW.

i have the money and he has studio but i do need help WITH THE ISSUE AT HAND

I have told you in 3 posts to go to 2-Pop.com Forums, register for free and ASK THERE. It si a Final Cut Pro Specific Website based in New York City. It is the best place to find the script you seek. It's like MacRumors.com for Final Cut Studio Only.

Oh, thats what u where referring to i do not want to pay for regestration to a website no matter how good of advice i can get possibly for free(i die a little each time i pay for WoW)and besides i could not even if i wanted to i don't have a credit card

Registration is FREE just like here. NO COST FOR FREE Final Cut Pro help.
 
No scripting or automation exists for FCP. Don't know if there will be in the future. AVID doesn't either.

Multimedia: Again, you waste alot of space by pushing your own agenda. You completely wasted this guy's time. Just plug your schtick once, no need to beat someone over the head with it.
 
i am not talking about a scripting language for the application itself, but all apple applications(PRO apps included) can be automated via applescript hell even MS Office can listen to applescript

As I said, FCP does not see AppleScript or Automator and vice versa. I don't know if the latest version supports this. You could try it with a simple script and see if it works. It would be nice if scripting worked, but editors don't use them so they haven't complained enough about it to Apple...I assume.

How many stills do you plan to use? It's not hard nor does it take much time to do what you're trying to do. You can import all stills in one try, load into the sequence in one try, and apply the same transition to all stills in one try.
