I have exported a clip a few weeks ago and the aspect ratio is correct. The settings are:
mp4, cropped to 800x480, preserved ration using crop.
The pixels looked normal, and widescreen.

Now I tried to export a similar clip with the same settings, but the pixels looked squashed - the whole clip was fit into the 800x480 instead of getting cropped. I dunno what happened - I didn't mess around with the settings... I tried re-exporting but I got the same results. I re-exported the original clip I made weeks ago and it also got squashed - so it's definitely not the current clip's problem.

Can someone point out the problem? Or is there a way to reset everything in FCE?

widescreen is usually 854*480 if square pixels. or 720*480 if 1.2 pixel width.

What are u trying to export? DV widescreen? or DV letterboxed with a 4:3 frame?
