Does anyone remember if there was an Academic version of 1.2. I found my old copy and wanted to upgrade to FCS 2.0, but if they offered an academic version I know that is the one I bought. I believe I paid $999 for it though (my how times have changed).

if you paid $999, then it was probably not an academic version...

Yeah, $999's never been an academic price. Do you have the documentation to check if it's got the commercial or academic license?

No I wish I did, but it was back in 1999 and I have moved so much since then it is probably lost. I wonder if there is a site you can check the serial number to see if it is academic or commercial? Thanks for the help though.

If you call up Apple, they'll know by the serial. Worked for me.
