Final Cut Pro blurry

I made a short clip using Motion. It exported fine and looks good.

When I import it to FCPX, it is blurry. I have also noticed this with other screen grabs I import, and they are also blurry.

Any advice on why this is and how to fix it?

Are you viewing as proxy or original?

FCP and Motion both do a lot of in-application optimization which shows up when working habitually. Does this stuff show up when you export? Want to post a screen grab of an exported version alongside the original asset? It might be possible to hypothesize based on the appearance what's happening.
