Has anyone used both systems? If so, is FCP software more intuitive and easy to work with? Does Apple ecosystem with the above software offer any advantages to PC ecosystem with video editing software?

They are worlds apart in how they work.

I learned NLVE on a PC with premiere pro. Vegas is not much different in how it works, but FCPX is a whole different animal altogether in how it operates.

I suggest skill share and patience, and whatever you do, do not try and do an important project in FCPX until you have the hang of it, use it to play around at first until you understand its mechanics of the magnetic timeline.

Once you do, you will see that yes, it is a great way to edit.

I second that. Even though FCP X works differently, in a way it's pretty much the Apple version of Vegas Pro, in featuring most (if not all) of the same features in its' current version(s). I've worked with both, but I use FCP X more since I generally prefer the Mac. I know a lot of YouTube Poop makers like to use Vegas Pro to make YTPs, and that's fine for those using Windows, but I prefer to make them on FCP X, and they come out looking very nice, even more so since I taught myself some more compositing, masking and animating techniques in the software...
