Hope someone can help me, I am learning Final Cut Pro after moving from Premiere pro.

Premiere pro will mark something in the media browser with a line to let you know that clip is being used in the timeline.

After several different attempts at googling this, it seems there is NO equivalent in Final Cut Pro?

How can that be, this is one of the most helpful things that you could want, especially when working with footage that looks very similar!

Is this possible?

Little things like this and NOT moving the timeline with the playhead when playing back video drive me crazy about this application!

My FCPX version puts a triangle on the left of clips used. You can also set the view to show used or unused clips.

But it does. Open the Project (Timeline) in question, then look at your browser. If you're in List view, you'll see that any clips that have a keyword associated or have been used in that Project will have a triangle beside them. Flip the triangle, and you'll see the keywords, along with "Used". Viewing the clip in the media viewer (or in Thumbnail view if you're not in List), you'll see an orange line along the bottom of the parts of the clip used in the Project.

Thanks for the reply, does that triangle only appear in a specific view type? Here is what I am seeing, I work with the clips in this view.

This is FCPX 10.5
