Hi, I have final cut pro 5.1.4 (and FCE express- same problem with both) and the windows appear to be transparent and its making the program virtually unusable. heres a screenshot of the browser

and the timeline

when you click on the background part (in the timeline) then it switches over the finder. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance
PS im running Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11.
