Short question: can you have mobileme host and serve HD video created in Final Cut Express, much like iMovie offers? I know you can transfer projects from iMovie into FCE, but it doesn't appear that you can go the other way to take advantage of iMovie's sharing functionality?

If not, what is the web host of choice around here for HD video (preferably free, natch)?

I think you need to read up on MobileMe a little bit more. You can share any file you want on MobileMe. It's just just iMovie.

Now if you are actually wanting to share a Final Cut *project* ... for collaboration with someone else who has Final Cut, this will be exceedingly difficult and crazy slow.

If you simply want to export the video so that someone can watch it, save your video to a Quicktime movie, pick whatever codec you want to encode with ( pick H.264 ) and upload it into Mobile Me. You can use the "Public folder" method described here:

http://www.apple.com/mobileme/features/idisk.html

or publish it as a website with iWeb. ( or 3rd party program that is compatible )

Hope this helps!

i think the OP was wanting to be able to share the movie to a mobileme web gallery page.

You can do that in iMovie by choosing share. Then a movie page is created on the web gallery for that video.

I am also wondering if there is any way to do that in Final Cut.
