Final Cut Studio, Snow Leopard - Need Quicktime Pro?

I was just installing the current Final Cut on my Mac Pro with Leopard and it said I need to have Quicktime Pro first.

I also own a family pack of Snow Leopard. If I upgrade the Mac Pro to SL first, do I still need Quicktime Pro or will Quicktime X be fine?
