As you can see my battery is at 79% on my AW4 Lte. Will they change the battery or give me a refurbished watch?
My microphone is not working anymore so I don’t know if this will give me any problems when i service it. Anyone have any experience servicing a Apple watch for the battery?

You haven’t given much context, but is the watch under warranty? I’m assuming it’s not? If so, why would Apple do anything? For free I mean?

Sorry if I have completely misunderstood the situation though.

Even out of warranty, it must be below 80% battery health for a battery swap. I guess because Apple charge less for battery swap, then other out of warranty repairs (which are close to the price of a new watch) and likely, they are just swapping the whole watch. ?‍♂️

So are you saying if a battery goes below 80%, Apple will deal with it FoC even when the device is out of warranty?

Watch is out of warranty and yes i will pay for the battery swap which is 99$ here in Canada…

If you wanna have your battery exchange regardless if it’s in warranty or not Apple requires that the percentage of the battery falls below 80% which means 79%.

No one has said it is free of charge, when out of warrenty. But a fixed price no matter model and a lot cheaper than the normal out of warrenty fee:

Did you get your AW4 serviced yet? What was the expirience? My battery on my AW4 SS is quickly degrading - it was 84% few months ago, then a week or so dropped to 81%, and now dropped to 79% and just days after to 78%. I have appointment set for Monday, so I will share my expirience when all is done.

All went smooth with Apple when i came in for my appointment. They ran diagnostics and confirmed that my battery is worn out and that I qualify for the $79 battery service. Apple overnight the package and I was expecting to receive it on Wednesday, but now it turns out that FedEx stole it, before it even got it to their final distribution center, so I have to deal with that. Anyone has any expirience with stolen replacement?

Interesting, I wonder how they know that the white box has a watch in it?? Since apple is the shipper, did you contact Apple? Are they going to send another unit? Fedex to be honest is going downhill path and I wish Apple would stop using them for returns and stuff.

I am planning to go to my local Apple store within the next hour to see what to do next with this situation. I dont expect to walk out with Apple Watch, but I hope that they will be able to review everything and resend a new replacement watch.

Good luck. I hope for the best outcome. Last time I took my watch in for warranty replacement, I had the option for them to mail it to the store so that I can pick it up there. My friend was also given that option few years ago for the watch 2 for the screen lifting issue. I'm not sure if they give the option now or if they have to mail it to your house??
