Yahoo messenger 2.0 is out for the app store...allowing video calls from the iphone to other computers/smart phones! Finally we can do this! Too bad skype doesn't support it yet...works over 3g/wifi

I don't think it's technically using FaceTime. But, it is nice to see other apps using the front facing camera for conferencing.

^^You mean it's nice to see other apps being allowed to use the front facing camera for conferencing.

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

The Tango app has already been doing this.

Tango only works phone to phone. I believe Yahoo is the first app to allow video calls between iPhones and computers.

Heard that worked between phones and Window desktops, but not Mac desktops.

I've also read that the video quality sucks on Yahoo! Messenger.

I've tried it on my iPod Touch 4g but it keeps crashing. I get a beep and then it hangs on the connecting... state :(
